DETAILS FOR THIS CASH SECURED PUT TRADE
Today I CLOSED this Covered Call position on (PTIR)
Today, (10) Cash Secured Put contracts closed assigning me the shares of 1000 (ticker: PTIR)which was for the Nov-21-2025 Expiration Date, $27 Strike Price for a Premium of $0.8 > PTIR was trading for $30.37 a share. Because I was assigned the shares, I did make max profit on the trade. The final profit / cash flow collected it posted below. I collected $0.8 or 100% of the total projected cash flow for this trade.

WHY THIS CASH SECURED PUT WAS CLOSED (ASSIGNED/BUYBACK)
WHY I CLOSED this CSP on > PTIR
As the markets have fallen, so has volatility, breaking through my $27 support level when the stock was trading around $30.37. I guess we can feel fortunate that we had nearly $3 of downside protection as the stock continued to drop. Now we’ve been assigned the shares at $27, and our next step is to place a 30-day covered call expiring December 19th. The goal is to generate at least a 3%–4% cash-on-cash return for the month, and I’ll feel good about that.
General plan for my Cash Secured Puts Cash on Cash % investments > I like to generate a 2% Cash on Cash return on my money invested ... depending on the timeframe ... 1 week, 1% is ok but if 30 days I want more like 2 ot 3% preferred

What does this mean? If within the first week the option falls 50% I will buy back the option and look to roll for another credit ... if the option falls to 10% of the value, I will buy back and roll.

LETTING MONEY BUILD THE ACCOUNT SIZE
Because this is in my non-taxable account I'm just going to use the premium to build the account size to make more premium versus buying dividend paying funds will save that for all my taxable accounts and with no tax implications we're not going to put any money in the tax bucket either

DETAILS FOR THIS CASH SECURED PUT TRADE
Today a NEW Cash Secured Put position was opened using GraniteShares 2x Long PLTR Daily ETF (ticker: PTIR) when the stock was trading for $30.37 a shares. I sold (10) Cash Secured Put contract(s) using (1000) shares worth of money for the (November)-21-2025 Expiration Date, $27 Strike Price receiving a Premium of $0.8 of $800 in upfront cash flow to begin this trade. This would be an (OTM) Cash Secured Put.

COMMENTARY AS TO WHY I OPENED THIS TRADE
WHY I OPENED this CSP on > PTIR
This trade begins as a (14) day trade where I'm trying to capture anywhere from 1.2% - 1.3% for a weekly Cash Secured Put and 3% or more for a monthly expiration. This trade will make $800 which is 2.96% on money invested
Further commentary as to why I opened this trade >
PTIR (2x Leveraged ETF to Palantir) > Palantir support seems to be around $170, and if we’re going to use the 2× leveraged ETF to mirror that, it lines up roughly with the $28 strike. I’m going to back it down to the $27 strike to give myself a little more downside protection. We won’t collect quite as much premium, but on 1,000 shares, this still sets up as a nice $800 upfront cash trade. If we’re assigned the shares, that would mean Palantir has fallen below support, which in my view makes it a more favorable level for Wall Street accumulation — at least, that’s my thinking.

My son likes Palantir and wants me to run a trade for the Nov-21 expiration using the $28 strike ... me, not wanting to use single stocks was convinced by him that selling after earnings has happened and valuation is the only issue and with it being AI and Palantir ... the $170 strike for PLTR is a good level ... so using PTIR, he suggested the $28 strike, I did the $27 for further downside protection

2 trade plan (Cash Secured Put + Covered Call) if needed a second trade >
This trade is , trade #1 ... a CSP for a premium profit of $800. If this trade expires worthless of I buy the option back profitable later , all good but if I were to be assigned the shares and the stock price in a worse case scenario fell an additional -$0 , I could then do an at my cost basis CCW making a possible $2.65 (hypothetical based on the trade numbers at the time of this post) so that would be $0.8 for trade #1 and $2.65 for trade #2 which would equal (these being the same timeframe for each) $3.45 in the same timeframe (that means, if this OPEN CSP trade is 1 week and are assigned the shares, the CC projected premium is for the same 1 week, so on)
> as with every trade, I will manage this trade as it approaches expiration ... buying back the option if it adheres to my -50% and 0.10 cent guidelines. -50% guideline being, such this option price fall 50% or more in the first 2 weeks I will buy back and look to roll the option - if the this option falls to 0.10 or less (in most cases) I will buy back the option and roll it for another credit if it presents itself.
