DETAILS FOR THIS CASH SECURED PUT TRADE
Today, (10) Cash Secured Put contract(s) were bought back onDirexion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares (ticker: SOXL) for the Dec-19-2025 Expiration Date, $40 Strike Price for a Premium of $1.4 > SOXL was trading for $42.6 a share when I placed this trade. Because I bought this option back early, I did not make max profit. The final profit / cash flow collected it posted below. Instead of making the original premium, I collected $0.25 or 0.63% of the total projected cash flow for this trade.

This SOXL trade closes after (6) days of being on for reasons I outline below. taking a defensive stance with this ... the markets blast higher today, chances are they will sell off tomorrow so this fresh cash will be available to trade and I pick up $250 with the stock trading UNDER the strike for this Put ... time decay at its best ...

LETTING MONEY BUILD THE ACCOUNT SIZE
Because this is in my non-taxable account I'm just going to use the premium to build the account size to make more premium versus buying dividend paying funds will save that for all my taxable accounts and with no tax implications we're not going to put any money in the tax bucket either

COMMENTARY AS TO WHY I OPENED THIS TRADE
WHY I OPENED this CSP on > SOXL
This trade begins as a (7) day trade where I'm trying to capture anywhere from 1.2% - 1.3% for a weekly Cash Secured Put and 3% or more for a monthly expiration. This trade will make $1400 which is 3.2% on money invested
Further commentary as to why I opened this trade >
SOXL (3x Leveraged ETF to the Semiconductors ) > Markets are taking a bit of profit here, but this is not a correction. Nvidia is holding up well, and the NASDAQ is only down about 1.7%, which tells me this is simply healthy profit-taking after a strong run. Since November 21, XLK has essentially moved straight up, so some selling here is completely normal and actually constructive. This is exactly what I mean when I say markets tend to run hard and then get sold off, creating repeatable opportunities. Using 3x leveraged ETFs, as long as you build in downside protection like I did in this trade, you can take advantage of these moves. XLK could dip below $40, but given recent price action, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it bounce back without much trouble.
2 trade plan (Cash Secured Put + Covered Call) if needed a second trade >
This trade is , trade #1 ... a CSP for a premium profit of $1400. If this trade expires worthless of I buy the option back profitable later , all good but if I were to be assigned the shares and the stock price in a worse case scenario fell an additional -$0 , I could then do an at my cost basis CCW making a possible $2.6 (hypothetical based on the trade numbers at the time of this post) so that would be $1.4 for trade #1 and $2.6 for trade #2 which would equal (these being the same timeframe for each) $4 in the same timeframe (that means, if this OPEN CSP trade is 1 week and are assigned the shares, the CC projected premium is for the same 1 week, so on)
> as with every trade, I will manage this trade as it approaches expiration ... buying back the option if it adheres to my -50% and 0.10 cent guidelines. -50% guideline being, such this option price fall 50% or more in the first 2 weeks I will buy back and look to roll the option - if the this option falls to 0.10 or less (in most cases) I will buy back the option and roll it for another credit if it presents itself.
