| Today, (5) Cash Secured Put contract(s) were bought back onDirexion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares (ticker: SOXL) for the Dec-12-2025 Expiration Date, $46 Strike Price for a Premium of $0.92 > SOXL was trading for $47.99 a share when I placed this trade. Because I bought this option back early, I did not make max profit. The final profit / cash flow collected it posted below. Instead of making the original premium, I collected $0.92 or 2% of the total projected cash flow for this trade. | |||||||||

| DETAILS FOR THIS CASH SECURED PUT TRADE | |||||||||
| Today a NEW Cash Secured Put position was opened using Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares (ticker: SOXL) when the stock was trading for $47.99 a shares. I sold (5) Cash Secured Put contract(s) using (500) shares worth of money for the (December)-12-2025 Expiration Date, $46 Strike Price receiving a Premium of $0.92 of $460 in upfront cash flow to begin this trade. This would be an (OTM) Cash Secured Put. | |||||||||
| - | |||||||||
| COMMENTARY AS TO WHY I OPENED THIS TRADE | |||||||||
| WHY I OPENED this CSP on > SOXL | |||||||||
| This trade begins as a (2) day trade where I'm trying to capture anywhere from 1.2% - 1.3% for a weekly Cash Secured Put and 3% or more for a monthly expiration. This trade will make $460 which is 2% on money invested | |||||||||
| Further commentary as to why I opened this trade > | |||||||||
| SOXL (3x Leveraged ETF to the Semiconductors ) > I placed this 2-day trade hoping, thinking, and wishing that it won’t fall to $46. But if it does, I’ll be assigned the shares—and if it’s trading near $46 at that point, I can immediately begin a covered call campaign using $46 as my cost basis. The goal of this trade was simply to use time decay in my favor. By choosing the $46 strike, I give myself $1.99 of downside protection, and I make a cool $460 on the capital invested. And like I said, if I’m assigned the shares at $46, that means the stock has dropped about $1.99, which still gives me a great opportunity to begin a covered call campaign at my $46 cost basis. | |||||||||
| 2 trade plan (Cash Secured Put + Covered Call) if needed a second trade > | |||||||||
| This trade is , trade #1 ... a CSP for a premium profit of $460. If this trade expires worthless of I buy the option back profitable later , all good but if I were to be assigned the shares and the stock price in a worse case scenario fell an additional -$0 , I could then do an at my cost basis CCW making a possible $2.25 (hypothetical based on the trade numbers at the time of this post) so that would be $0.92 for trade #1 and $2.25 for trade #2 which would equal (these being the same timeframe for each) $3.17 in the same timeframe (that means, if this OPEN CSP trade is 1 week and are assigned the shares, the CC projected premium is for the same 1 week, so on) | |||||||||
| > as with every trade, I will manage this trade as it approaches expiration ... buying back the option if it adheres to my -50% and 0.10 cent guidelines. -50% guideline being, such this option price fall 50% or more in the first 2 weeks I will buy back and look to roll the option - if the this option falls to 0.10 or less (in most cases) I will buy back the option and roll it for another credit if it presents itself. | |||||||||
