COVERED CALL
DETAILS FOR THIS COVERED CALL TRADE
Today I CLOSED this Covered Call position on (SOXL)
Today, (8) Covered Call contracts were bought back on Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares (ticker: SOXL) for the (December)-12-2025 Expiration Date, $43 Strike Price for a Premium of $5.1 > SOXL was trading for $47.21 a share. Because I bought this option back early, I did not make max profit. The final profit / cash flow collected it posted below. Instead of making the original premium, I collected $5.08 or 1.84% of the total projected cash flow for this trade.

DID I COLLECT A DIVIDEND DURING THIS TIMEFRAME?
No, I did not collect a dividend because either > they did not have an Ex-Date during this timeframe > my shares were taken prior to the Ex-Date

LETTING MONEY BUILD THE ACCOUNT SIZE
Because this is in my non-taxable account I'm just going to use the premium to build the account size to make more premium versus buying dividend paying funds will save that for all my taxable accounts and with no tax implications we're not going to put any money in the tax bucket either

COMMENTARY AS TO WHY I OPENED THIS TRADE
WHY I OPENED this CCW on > SOXL
This SOXL (7) day trade , where I'm trying to capture anywhere from 1.2% to 1.6% for a 5 day trade will make me a projected 1.89% Cash on Cash on money invested
Further Commentary as to why I did this trade
SOXL (3x Leveraged ETF to the Semiconductors ) > With SOXL moving higher, even though it’s trading at the top of its range, we’re going ahead with the $43 deep-in-the-money strike, which gives us over $4 of downside protection. If SOXL were to fall back to $43, or even slip below $42, that would indicate something significant happening in the broader market to cause that type of move. I would not mind owning SOXL at $43 if the market pulled back. Yes, it could drop even further, but I suspect that on even its worst near-term day, it would likely pull back to around $40, and I can work with that using a 30-day covered call if I needed to hold the shares with a $43 cost basis. Of course, some of this is “pie in the sky,” but the trade is placed. We’ll see what happens and manage the position accordingly.

PROJECTED PROFIT POTENTIAL (CCW PREM ONLY)
If this trade goes as planned, I will have my shares taken at my strike price and I will only collect the difference between the Real Money and Time Value which is the plan

This being an ITM Covered Call ... I did collect the premium of $5.1 but remember that I'm giving away my shares cheaper at $43 so in this case the Time Value premium profit could be $0.89 or $712 in total premium profit if NO buy back.

HOW YOU WOULD BENEFIT FROM THIS TRADE
ITM CC BUY SHARES > SELL CALL
For this trade, I already own the shares, so my total profit may or may not include stock appreciation. In your case, you would purchase the shares outright at the current trading price I’ve provided. You would then proceed to sell a near-term covered call, aiming to achieve the same premium for the same strike price and expiration date.
OF COURSE, this is all projected and the final results could have you LOSING MONEY. Ensure you understand this trade and that it meets your risk tolerance. I wish you good luck.
